Maters Arising: Mast at Feorline Liz Campbell will contact Vodafone herself to get an update on this matter.
A815/ Loch Eck flooding still on going along with lorries going into the ditches.
Shrubbery at Bay Corner Kirstie will chase up Scottish Water.
Councillor Update: Flooding- landowners should do as much as possible with their own land ABC reposing for 2mts from the roadside.
Yacht clearance will be up to the individual insurance company.
White linning machine staff training is ongoing, although the machine has started to be used.
Giants Burn Windfarm- objections or support can be sent up until decision day.
Police Report: There where 42 incidents and Crime reports 42 and 8 many for Road Traffic matters and planned shoots. Speeding 2 detected, incharge of a vehicle while over the limit of breath 1 detected, dangerous driving 1 detected, assault 1 detected, 1 undetected live, Theft 1 undetected (enquires ongoing) S127 comes offence 1 detected.
Health Report: Joint Strategic Plan 2026-2031 face to face meeting in various hall throughout Argyll Dunoon meeting is tomorrow (16/10/25) Queens Hall 10am- 12pm, 2pm to 4pm anyone that wish es to answer the questions that are to be asked can Email myself and I will pass them on

Prescriptions: On a temporary basis, repeat prescriptions are been sent to Inveraray Pharmacy this is causing issues with those that get certain drugs that have to be given direct to the patient or their representative especially if they are working when the delivery is made to there home. If this is causing a problem, you can ask the surgery for the prescription slip and take it to a pharmacy of your choice.
Transport Report: There is a Transport Strategy Consultation running on ABC website running until Tuesday 18th November 2025.
Buses: 484 486 478 A new timetable will start on Monday 20th October. Please note the 478 from Dunoon Pier coming via Strachur to Portavadie will now leave at 17.40. We will put the timetable online and print a copy for the notice board at the PO, the bus stop and the filling station.
We received a report from Transport Scotland re the implementation of 20MPH zones Ardrishaig, Connel,Inveraray, Tarbert, Tarbet Oban and Campbeltown Arrochur this comes as we were told we could not have a 20MPH through the village at the crossing. Kirstie will check with ABC re the 20MPH zone proposed by them for Clachan Brae.
Next Cowal Transport Forum will be held on Monday, 24th November.
Treasurers Report: we have a balance of £2686.22
Secretaries Report: Strachur phone box we have now adopted the phone box for £1 kirstie signed the forms witnessed by Isobel. We will be looking for ideas for it use. In terns of the agreement this cannot be commercial.
We received numerous emails during the last storm tell that the OMR will be in use
Forestry Land Scotland has sent out a spreadsheet with all the Forestry Closures in the SDCC area and asked that we reiterate that they are all closed and ask that the public stay away from them for their own safety.
We have a TTRO questionnaire to fill in.
We had minutes from the Cowal Deer Management Group.
Remembrance Sunday Service everything is ready for the service at the Memorial Hall on Sunday 9th November @10.45.
National Park: no update
Argyll Rally: William gave an update on the recent CC Rally liaison meetings.
AOCB: Iain Wilkie raised the Creag Dhu windfarm deadline for starting work 7th November, traffic management plan to given to council on 2nd September, a permanent upgrade will need to be done to the school crossing/succour junction. Temporary winding of the bends at the sports field and Strachurmore Junction there was a 50 page document produced Iain will send it to Kirstie for forwarding to CC members etc. Kirstie will speak to Councillor Sinclair and the ABC Roads Department in the morning.
A member of the public asked how the lorries with the blades would get up the OMR or pass any other tight bend on the road from Glasgow to the sight.
