Minutes of General Meeting
Held on 25th April 2012 in Strachur Memorial hall

Also present Representives of Banks Renewables, Heather Grier and 1 members of the Public.
1 Welcome, The chairman opened the meeting and welcomed all present.
2 Apologies; Coun. Alex McNaughton PC Mc Gunnigal John Tidbury and Sandra Jenkins
3 Presentation from Banks Renewables It was early part of investigating a site at Cruachan Loch and they would be looking at suitable site for up to 30 Wind Turbines which would bring some funding to the area if this project went ahead. They gave a good report and answered all questions that were put to them.
4 Minutes; Minutes of meeting held on the 7th March 2012 were approved as accurate and signed by the Chairman, Proposed by Kathleen Mirrlees and seconded by Isabel McGladdery.
5 Matters Arising; Only Health Matters that would be covered later.
6 Treasurers Report; No Report.
7 Secretaries Report; Letters read out from Ch.Isp. Mosley regarding mobile police unit, letter of support to the Smiddy and Queens Golden Jubilee.
8 Police Report; On Holiday.
9 Health Matters; Heather gave an update in 2 parts. First was Dr Coull and the Strachur surgery the Com Council had a meeting with Dr Mike Hall, Lorraine Paterson and Joyce Robinson. The meeting went well with all questions being answered and various points of concern about the surgery being put to them, they explained the funding and the point being that the Strachur surgery is not a High Earning Practice a meeting with Dr Coull would be the next step. “ OOHs for Cowal is advancing and it was hoped that the options would be cut down to a manageable soon as it was hoped to have this in place by September or the end of the year.
10 A.O.B.; 13th June is the date for our AGM, A discussion about the crossing for the school children, we were informed that there would be nobody to do the crossing as from next week Archie Reid to contact School. Price for Tree or Plaque for Queens Jubilee, Vi McLean had handed in information on various aspects of the speeding problems in St. Catherines it was felt this would have to be investigated fully and would be brought up at the next meeting, to give us time to read up on her info.
