entry £4 ...and Erskine donations..

Margaret Hubbard , amateur historian from Innellan, writes:
“I work on the Battlefields of World War 1 with young people. The war may have ended 100 years ago but we are still living with its aftermath.
In this talk, I will tell the narrative of World War 1 through visuals and song, consider some of the controversial issues which have reverberated down the decades and explain exactly what I do on the Western Front.
I will also tie-in the stories of the local men of Strachur and Strathlachlan. They are not names on plaques but human beings who did not come home. ‘Who were they?’
‘Where did they live?’ ‘What happened to them?’ ‘Where do they lie?’
I will also try to answer questions you may have.”
