Programme Saturday 21st June

The International Gathering and Strathlachlan Festival opens at 9:30am – ENTRANCE AND PARKING IS FREE TO ALL

Stalls displaying local arts and crafts – open all day from 10.30 to 5pm

Bespoke Maclachlan goods for sale – open all day from 10.30 to 5pm

105 (v) Royal Artillery will display a light gun and have a paint-ball range

Stewarts Amusements will provide a rock climbing wall, bouncy castle and bungee jump.

Sheepdog handling demonstrations – 11.30am

Guided tours around Old Castle Lachlan and Kilmorie Chapel (burial site of previous clan chiefs) – happening all day

Flower Festival at Strathlachlan Church – open all day

Strachur Historical Society will have family trees from the area – all day

Children banner and flag making – 11.00am to 4pm

Various stalls selling a selection of locally produced crafts and foods 10.30 to 5pm

Bar open all day from 11.00am to 12 midnight

Commercial catering provided by Foods from Argyll, anything from tea, coffee, locally produced fish and shellfish from Loch Fyne Oysters, venison burgers from Winston Churchill, and ‘stovies’ – they are being a HUGE support to our festival - open until 6:00pm

Whisky tasting by Kilchoman Distillery – official sponsor pre-book tickets @ £20 per person 12:00pm & 3:00pm

Wine tasting by Enotria World Wine – pre-book tickets @ £20 per person 1:30pm & 4:30pm

Performances by Gaelic Waulking Singers – Sgioba Luaidh Inbhirchluaidh 12:00pm and 2:30pm

1:30pm The Walking Theatre Company on ‘Maclachlan Brounie’ a mischievous ghost

Visiting speakers-:

11:00am and 4:00pm – Donald Adamson, archaeologist An excavation of Highland Inn in Strathlachlan

12:30pm and 1:30pm - Dr Alison Rosie, archivist on Castle Lachlan Archives

2:30pm Peter Baxter on Benmore Botanical Gardens

5:00 pm 105 RA (v) Gun Salute to the Chief – firing a large gun and presentation to Euan Maclachlan Of Maclachlan of that Ilk

Clan Lachlan Dinner Dance – entrance only by pre-paid tickets.
