Programme Friday 20th June

The International Gathering and Strathlachlan Festival Officially opens at 10:30am – ENTRANCE AND PARKING IS FREE TO ALL

Stalls displaying local arts and crafts – open from 10.30am to 5pm

Bespoke Maclachlan goods for sale – open from 10.30am to 5pm

Stewarts Amusements will provide a rock climbing wall, bouncy castle and bungee jump

MACLACHLAN CLAN AGM 2:00PM

Talks by John Stuart-Murray of Edinburgh University on local Gaelic names and places - 2:30pm & 3:30pm

Bar open from 11.00am to 12 midnight

Commercial catering provided by Foods from Argyll, anything from tea, coffee, locally produced fish and shellfish from Loch Fyne Oysters, venison burgers from Winston Churchill, and ‘stovies’ – they are being a HUGE support to our festival www.foodfromargyll.com/discover.php - open until 10:00pm (only Friday)

Whisky tasting by Kilchoman Distillery – official sponsor – pre-book tickets @ £20 per person – 12:00pm & 4:00pm

Shinty demonstration and sheepdog trial demonstrations – 2:00pm and 4:00pm

Guided tours around Old Castle Lachlan and Kilmorie Chapel (burial site of previous clan chiefs) – happening all day

Flower Festival at Strathlachlan Church – open all day

Strachur Historical Society will have family trees from the area – all day

Bill Carlow and team playing their ‘fiddles’ all those familiar Scottish tunes – From 5:00pm

Exclusive visit to New Castle Lachlan and a dram with Clan Chief Euan Maclachlan Of Maclachlan (Clan Maclachlan Society members and by invitation only)

Evening ceilidh, From 7:00pm to 11:00pm

Music provided by Canned Haggis food provided by Food from Argyll
